Combination C
The Computer Science Combination C program is a double major in
computer science and mathematics. It consists of two-year Diploma in
Science followed by two-year Advanced Diploma in Science. The students for
the Advanced Diploma in Science are also simultaneously prepared for a
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree conducted by the School in conjunction
with Campbell University, U.S.A. and University of Ulster U.K.
The program is designed to prepare students for careers in information
technology. It trains students to understand the computer systems both in
depth and breadth. In addition, students are trained in related
mathematics such as statistics and operations research.
Upon graduation, students will be technically competent in software
development as well as equipped with the necessary analytical skills for
the industry.
Minimum Entrance
Requirements
I. Diploma in
Science
- Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Vokasional
(SPMV) as follows: -
(i)
Pass in Bahasa Melayu, English Language and Matematik
Tambahan.
(ii) 5 credit passes which must include Matematik.
OR
- Graduates of Certificate in Computer Studies C may be considered for
credit transfer to this course.
II. Advanced Diploma in Science cum
Bachelor of Science Degree
Diploma in Science (Computer Science Combination C) from TAR College or
other equivalent qualification.
